Dear Parents and Carers
Everyone at Holy Trinity Primary School is really excited to be taking part in Sport Relief 2020! As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise money and change lives.
This year, Sport Relief will be taking place on Friday 13th March.
To do our bit and raise money to support Sport Relief 2020 we will be challenging ourselves to take part in a ‘Mini Mudder Obstacle Course.’ This will take place on the school field with each class taking it in turns throughout the day. Children will be challenged to jump through the inflatable obstacle course, scramble under cargo nets, hop through tyres and balance along beams to help raise money for Sport Relief.
On the day children will need to come to school wearing their own clothes. Please make sure these clothes are suitable for taking part in the ‘Mini Mudder’ eg an old tracksuit and trainers as they are likely to get a little muddy!! It may also be a good idea to pack a spare set of clothes including shoes so they have something to change into if needed.
Please help us by sponsoring your child to complete this challenge. You could ask family members and friends to sponsor them too and let them know about the challenge they are taking part in. There is a sponsorship form to help keep track of any money raised. Please ensure all sponsorship money, along with the form, is handed to the school office by Thursday 19th March.
And, the best thing is, the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
To learn more about how Comic Relief spends the money raised for Sport Relief please visit sportrelief.com/schools.
We will also be using Sport Relief as a teaching opportunity throughout the day so that your children can learn about the issues other children across the world face, and how the money we raise can support them.
We really appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have fun helping our school raise lots of money for Sport Relief!
