Class 1P Christmas decorations

We have made Christmas decorations for our corridor. We put glue on coloured paper in a star shape, then sprinkled rice and glitter over the top. Year 1 enjoy Children in Need Day

Year 5 came to our classroom on Children in Need day. They read stories, sang songs to us and helped us to colour in Pudsey masks.  We wore Pudsey costumes and spotty clothes and brought in money to donate to Children in Need. Class 1P’s senses poems

We wrote some poems about fireworks and the senses we use when watching fireworks. We used chalk to make the pictures and to write the words describing the noise the fireworks made, like ‘boom’ and ‘bang’. The senses we wrote about included: Seeing the fireworks. Class 1P fireworks and explosions!

Today we have been drawing some firework pictures, using wax crayons.  We used red, yellow, blue, purple, green and pink, taking inspiration from watching firework displays at the weekend. Class 1P to create a science lab!

Over the next few weeks, Class 1P will be turning their role play area into a science lab! We will be making DNA models and creating robots using cardboard and tin foil. Class 1P go on a nature trail

After PE we went on an adventure! We went outside to use our senses. The senses we used were smelling, hearing, feeling, tasting and seeing. We smelt some lavender in the garden. 1P paint the beach!

We have used Brusho to paint some pictures of the beach.  We add water to powdered paint and make around 10 different colours.  We dip our brush into the paint and wipe the brush on the side of the pot to make sure we don’t have too much water. If we have too much water read more »
