Dear Parents / Carers
During these times, more than ever, it is vital that we focus on maintaining and improving the mental and physical wellbeing of our nation’s children. The benefits of doing this are obvious to every parent and teacher – happy and healthy children learn quicker and grow up to be contributing and valuable members of our communities.
This week is Children in Need week, and the nation’s favourite lockdown coach, Joe Wicks, has teamed up with Blue Peter and Dr Radha to promote children’s mental wellbeing through the ‘Five to Thrive’ programme that explores a range of wellbeing activities and exercises. We will be using these activities to learn more about well-being in class this week.
On Friday 13th November we will hold a non-uniform day at school to help raise the profile and money for Children in Need. Those who have PE on Children in Need day can wear clothes that are comfortable to do PE in.
We recognise that the pandemic has impacted family financial situations, but if you are able to make a donation for Children In Need this would be greatly appreciated. In order to avoid bringing cash to school and minimise risk of virus transmission, please make any donations on your child’s SCOPay account online.
We look forward to celebrating and supporting Children in Need this week.
