World Book Day (we are NOT dressing up – regulation school uniform required)

March 5, 2020 all-day

This year World Book Day is taking place on Thursday 5th March to celebrate reading books, authors and illustrators from around the globe. It is annually held in more than 100 countries around the world.   We will be celebrating World Book Day in school and have planned a great many exciting activities to encourage and support our pupils to enjoy and share our love of reading!

A key aim of this event is to give every child in the UK a book of their own to keep. Every child is eligible to receive a £1 World Book Day token which can spent at our Book Fair.

The Scholastic Book Fair will run in the Small Hall from Wednesday 4th March – Monday 9th March, from 3:00 – 3:45pm. Children will have an opportunity to look around the book fair with their classes during these days but will not be able to purchase any books until after school.

To ensure you know in advance, we want you to know that we are NOT dressing up on World Book Day, so you can save your pennies to spend at the fair!  All pupils will be expected to wear regulation school uniform as usual.
