Total spend at time of report was ~£7,300

Spend typically falls in to three main areas:

  • Equipment
  • Sports Coaches
  • Transport

Availability of minibus will mean savings on transport will be possible. Need to understand what contribution from sports funding for use of minibus is needed – not yet clear.

Other considerations for use of minibus:

  • How is use of minibus coordinated to plan use and sports activities
  • Availability of drivers

A coaches across a wide range of sports are/have been used to give students opportunity to try a variety of sports. Added befit through up-skilling staff. Can lead to some equipment being seldom used. Perhaps consider sharing/exchange of equipment with other schools?

Access to coaches not always easy for after school clubs due to the timing and length of sessions. Investigate sharing of sports coaches with other local schools? Could be enabled with use of minibus.

Swimming:

  • Contribution from parents to support cost of swimming coach and heating/upkeep
  • No funding from Sports Premium
  • Assessment of students brought attention from parents

Changing rooms – used for storage of tables limiting changing space

SEN students getting involved in ‘Can Do Festival’ school games – Rockley

Other similar activities being pursued.

Next meeting to be in first half-term of next academic year.
