Year 3 discover curious creature!

Mr Hutchinson told 3P that on Friday, the school gardener Mr Bellingham was digging in our school garden to plant some seeds when he hit something hard with his shovel. Mr Bellingham went to investigate further. He dug a lot of soil and discovered a skeleton of a curious creature!

Mr Bellingham phoned the school caretaker Mr Allen who then contacted our Deputy Headteacher Mr Godfrey who emailed our teacher Mr Hutchinson. Mr Godfrey has contacted a fossil expert from the Dorchester Museum, who will be coming to take a look to see what it is.

We went up to the garden to have a look ourselves. We think it is a rhinorex, a rhinosaurus or a rhinoraptor because of the horn on its nose! We were very excited because it looks real!

We look forward to posting some of the resulting Newspaper articles that the children write off the back of this experience at the end of the week.
