Children are admitted to the Nursery in the September of the academic year in which they are age four.
Applications for a place in a Reception class are made through Dorset Council’s School Admissions Team. Click here to access the Council’s admissions process. Applications are made from 1 September for the following academic year. Please see office staff for more information.
- The school’s admission number is 90 per year group from Reception to Year 6.
- On entry to the school priority is given to:
a) Statemented children who have been allocated to the school by the Local Authority through parental choice
b) Children living within the Local Authority agreed catchment area
c) Children with siblings in the school
d) Children living outside the catchment area by geography (closest to the school)
All prospective parents and carers are very welcome to visit the school in order to assess the opportunities that we provide for our pupils. An appointment can be made to visit the school and talk to the Headteacher or a member of the leadership team. In order to register your child, please complete a pupil information form which is available from the school office.
All children who have not attended our nursery are invited to spend a morning in school in the term before they start school. There is an evening meeting for parents in the summer term when you will have the opportunity to meet the teachers and to talk about your child starting school.
