Physical Education

At Holy Trinity Primary School, we recognise the importance of PE and the role it has to play in promoting long term, healthy lifestyles and making a positive impact on physical, mental and social health. Our PE curriculum is designed to provide students with a wide range of high-quality PE and sport provision that inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physical activity.

We aim to nurture confident, resilient children who will strive for their personal best and inspire our students through engaging PE lessons that are enjoyable, challenging and accessible to all. We want our pupils at HTP to appreciate the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle and understand the importance of this.

Through our teaching of PE, we will instil our core values and transferable life-long learning skills such as mutual respect and harmony as well as providing them with opportunities to take part in competitive sport through our extra-curricular programme. We want to aid our children in obtaining the values and skills to celebrate and respect the success of others, as well as modestly celebrating their own successes. We aim to ensure that our delivery of physical education allows all children to have the skills and mindset to leave primary school with the capabilities to be successful in their sporting challenges and active lifestyles at secondary school and beyond.
